ByDanie Party Collection

In addition to the Fall/Winter collection that has been launched earlier this year, ByDanie has introduced the Party Collection! The collection is available online and in stores now.

I must say: WOW! I can’t wait to kick off Holiday Season looking at these gorgeous, glamorous and funky party items. I already spotted some of the items on the catwalk at the BYDanie show during Amsterdam Fashion Week earlier this year. Ever since I was really looking forward for them to hit the shelves. My favourite item will be the spectacular chain heels, really: totally in love… Furthermore, the faux fur coats are fantastic and also perfectly suitable for daily wear. The long pink one is my personal favourite! If you’re looking for a party proof dress, you must have a look at the “SIGNED SEALED DELIVERED” sequin dress. No doubt about the ‘proof’ part!

* All items are available via the ByDanie webshop.

Home is wear the cat is…

Karl Lagerfeld has designed a-soon-to-be-available collection of accessories named by his beloved pet Choupette. For his Choupette Collection Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by his cat, who is nowadays almost as famous as Karl himself.

As you can see in the image below there’s no doubt about who’s the subject in line of accessories!

The collection includes a cat-shaped leather tote and a cat-shaped leather cross-body bag, iPad & iPhone covers with cat ears, fingerless gloves with whiskers, a cat-shaped key chain, a wool scarf and a knitted cap with cat’s ears and leather whiskers.

The collection will be exclusively available at Karl Lagerfeld stores in Paris, Berlin, Munich, Amsterdam, Beijing, Shanghai, and Antwerp.

After Kenzo’s Tiger-hype last season maybe this will be the next animal you can’t avoid and will soon be introduced into your wardrobe. I personally love the cat-shaped leather tote, and I surely hope it will be in mine soon!

Rihanna’s Final Collection For River Island!

It’s called a ‘winter collection’… I’m not sure how cold winters will get for Rihanna, but for now it looks like I will be catching the flu wearing most of the outfits in her collection for River Island this season. I must say the collection as a whole has a good ‘vibe’ though. When Rihanna’s first collection for River Island was shown during London Fashion Week people were a bit shocked about the unconventional outfits. But I guess that’s what Rihanna is about, right?

In addition to sparkling dresses and skirts with a lot of glitter and glamour, the collection also contains items typically winter-wear like faux fur hats, hooded tops and puffer jackets. And, ofcourse, tartan patterns will be welcomed! Check it out on Vogue!

Tartan it is!

I didn’t think they would ever be coming back soon… But the grunge look has definitely landed! I think the last tartan I’ve seen was back in the ninetees, but this winter season you really can’t ignore this fashion hype. But why should you? It surely is a winter season pattern. Especially in the combination deep red/black, which is originally used.

Let’s take a look at some nice pieces combined in an outfit.

Underneath the Karl Lagerfeld leather & wool biker jacket with a white bow tie blouse and a black and denim knee long skirt (both H&M), combined with black stiletto booties by Sam Edelman and you are ready to go!

Below a combination with a grunge girl Bankfashion sweater with a faux leather skirt from H&M and, ofcourse, a pair of Jimmy Choo short black biker boots. Wear it with black 20 denier tights and charm bracelet like this one from Saint Laurent and your grunge look is complete!

Lazy wear

When I think of lazy wear I think of comfortable outfits. Some Saturday mornings I’m standing in front of my closet and need to decide what to wear. I don’t have any plans today, but I certainly want to be able to run (comfort) out of the door looking absolutely stunning (fashion).  I’ll show you how to mix comfort and fashion!

Let’s take a very nice oversized sweater (Acne). Combine it with a pair of faux leather shorts (French Connection) and metallic python ankle boots (Mooia). Style it off with a nice eyecatching bracelet like the zebra piece from Guess. Have a good weekend!

Mexx and Candy

Wow! Mexx and Candy have done good!

Yesterday the collection for Mexx by Candy Dulfer has been launched. I must say, it’s nothing to be ashamed of Candy! Very well done! There’s a good mix of materials and colours in the collection and you can perfectly mix and match between the items to create your own style for the right occasion.

I personally love the boxy faux leather top with python print. Combine the top with the dragon red leather optic legging pants and the amazing two-toned faux fur vest with faux leather sleeves for a complete Rock & Roll look! Although bare feet would be very comfortable wearing this warm (and sticky) fake fur outfit a pair of Saint Laurent Paris two-tone python ankle boots would certainly complete your outfit…

Paris Fashion Week: why why why…

Louis Vuitton: Runway - Paris Fashion Week Womenswear Spring/Summer 2014

No doubt about it: Paris Fashion Week is (and in my opinion always should be) the Queen of the Fashion Weeks. Is that why Marc Jacobs choose this week to let the world know he’s leaving Louis Vuitton (LV) after 16 years of duty? Due to the rumours about his leave, of cours we were curious about LV’s show! Well, I must say, LV has never showed it’s ‘dark side’ more than during this fashion week. Marc Jacobs certainly rocked the LV catwalk one last time!

Rainy days, suitable outfits

At 7 in the morning it was raining. During lunch, still raining. And it won’t be any different this afternoon.

What to wear on a day like this!? Layared clothing will do the trick of course. Today I chose for a pair of grey thick tights combined with a black and white silk dress from H&M and, of course, a vest. A fake fur one. A pair of grey, ankle booties should keep my feet from getting wet during my runs to and from my car and back into other dry area’s. I hope my booties will behave as I expect them to. A big leopard Dolce & Gabbana shopper should keep my stuff safe & dry today.

Almost weekend! Enjoy yours!
